PROGRAM
OBJECTIVE
The chief objective of the Professional Tractor-trailer Driver
Training Program offered by Shippers’ Choice of Virginia,
Inc. is to train qualified individuals in the knowledge and
skills needed to obtain a job entry level position in the trucking
industry.
Shippers’ Choice instructs its students in the practical
operation of tractor-trailer trucks. Students are taught the
Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations as they apply to the
operation of commercial vehicles. Upon graduation, our students
must be able to:

safely operate a tractor-trailer
—
have a working knowledge of the equipment
—
be able to pass state administered licensing tests
—
successfully complete the required written examinations
and road tests administered by both the school and potential
employers.

As a secondary objective, students achieve the self-confidence
needed to secure employment. This is accomplished through thorough
testing and evaluation of each student.
